Roy Maurice Gagnon, 79, of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. He was born on April 18, 1941 in New Britain, son of the late Maurice and Mary (Arena) Gagnon.
Roy worked at Peter Paul Electronics as a lab supervisor for many years and was the owner of Roy’s Decorating Supply. He enjoyed camping, gardening and photography. Roy also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Roy is survived by his fiancé Margaret “Peggy” Corrigan of Bristol; daughter Annette Dostaler and her husband Arthur of Bristol; sons Armand Gagnon and his wife Sarah of Meriden, Todd Gagnon and his wife Maria of Bristol; grandchildren Nicole and her husband Mike, Chelsea and her husband Jayson, Breanna, Nicholas and Alexa; great-grandchildren Mia, Lila and Camina; sister Darlene Dabkowski and her husband Ronald of Bristol; several nieces and nephews and Rosemarie Gagnon, the mother of his children. Aside from his parents, Roy is predeceased by his brothers Fred Gagnon and his identical twin Bob Gagnon.
Calling hours will begin at 9:15AM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol on Monday, February 8, 2021 until a procession to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. A virtual viewing will be available for those who are unable to attend the funeral on the O’Brien Funeral Home website.
