Ruth F. Skonieczny

Ruth (Fearnley) Skonieczny, 90, of Bristol, passed peacefully early Friday morning at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of the late Michael Skonieczny.

Ruth was born in New Britain on August 25, 1930 the daughter of the late John and Anna (Rzeszut) Fearnley. She was a graduate of the Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1952 where she earned her nursing degree. She worked as staff night nurse for 27 years at Bristol Hospital prior to her retirement. Ruth had been a member of St. Matthew Church in Forestville.

She leaves her children, sons Brian Skonieczny and his wife Linda, Alan Skonieczny, Eric Skonieczny and his wife Lisa, and daughters Cathy Polnow and Carrie Bohlen; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, Ruth is predeceased by her brother, Richard and grandson, Joseph.
