Suzanne S. Bartucca

Suzanne (Scalise) Bartucca, 87, of Plainville and Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was the wife of the late Frank Bartucca.

Sue was born in New Britain on June 4, 1933 the daughter of the late Anthony “Fritz” Scalise and Alida (Lawless) Scalise. She was retired after working many years with the Plainville Board of Education. Sue was a past member of the Bristol Historical Society, Junior Women’s Club of Bristol, BCHS Band Music Booster Club, and Edgewood Little League. In her later years, Sue enjoyed her antiques and spending time between her homes at the Plainville Campgrounds and Cocoa Beach with her friends. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She leaves her children, Eric Van Wagoner and his wife Michele of Leominster, MA, Jody-Lynn Mills and Wendy Labadia and her husband Scott all of Plainville. Sisters Marcia LeSuer and her husband Larry of Cape Canaveral, FL and Virginia Germano and her husband Anthony of Old Saybrook, brother-in-law Anthony Perrotta; grandchildren, Kathleen Dupuis (Peter), Alison Kesner (Justin), Andrew Van Wagoner (Alexa), Alec Van Wagoner, Brandon Labadia, Jessica Rossignol (Christopher) and Erika Walsh (Robert); great grandchildren Haylie Maile, Collin and Owen Dupuis, Trevor and Carson Rossignol, and Tommy and Kelly Walsh; and several nieces and nephews. Sue was predeceased by her sister, Linda Perrotta, her brother Robert Anthony Scalise and sister-in-law Judy Scalise.

Services will be held at a time when it is comfortable to gather. Memorial contributions may be made to Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute, 201 N. Mountain Rd., Plainville, CT 06062.
