Theresa C. Baraglia, 90, widow of Cesare J. Baraglia, of Southington and formerly of Forestville passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
She was born on November 4, 1927 in Chempo, Italy the daughter of the late Sisto and Mary (Marchesi) Semplice. She came to the United States in 1932 where she later met her husband to be whom she was married to for 63 years.
Theresa was employed at Sessions Clock, Allied Control and retired from Superior Electric after 23 years.
Her greatest joys in life were being with her family, especially her three grandsons, and cooking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her son Richard Baraglia and his spouse Jeffrey Baraglia Palmer of Bristol; her daughter Lisa and her spouse Michael Peluso of Old Saybrook; her three grandsons, Michael Peluso III of Brighton, MA, Thomas Peluso and his wife Irene of Ashland, MA, and Peter Peluso of Stamford and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Romilda Bianchi and her brothers, Peter and Jack Semplice.
The family wishes to thank the staff at The Pines at Bristol for the care and compassion they showed to Theresa.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening November 28, 2017 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/ Forestville from 5PM until 8PM.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 9AM from O’Brien Funeral Home to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM, followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s memory may be made to: Mary's Place, A Center for Grieving Children and Families, 6 Poquonock Ave., Windsor, CT 06095.
