William F. Sutter III

August 20, 1951 ~ December 28, 2020 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Tribute

William Frederick Sutter III, of Bristol CT, passed peacefully away at home on December 28, 2020, in the loving arms of his wife Rosemarie Palazzo Sutter with his son Shawn close by. He was 69.

Bill was born in NY, Staten Island, August 20, 1951. The son of William F. Sutter II and Peggy Rippingale Sutter, who were both veterans of WWII, his father in the US Army and mother in the England Army. With three sisters Melody, Jacqueline and Susan.

At the age of 10, after his father’s death, the family relocated to Southington CT. Bill graduated from Goodwin Tech High School where he was a member of the Chess Club and Track Team.

Bill, was a machinist for Stanley Works and New Departure Hyatt. He was most proud of being a Veteran of US Army 82nd Airborne and becoming a Firefighter. He Retired from the Bristol Fire Department, Firefighters Local 773 and was a past President of the local.

Bill loved life and lived it to the fullest. He played hard and worked hard.
He loved to laugh and have people laugh with him. He was gifted with the art of making friends he could walk into a room of strangers and exit with a friend for life. Someone said: If you have one good friend you are a rich man. If that’s true, William F Sutter III was a billionaire. Bill had a heart of gold and he would help anyone at anytime.

Bill deeply loved his family and friends as well as his extended family the firefighters. We would like to thank those people that have helped us over the past 4 years, not only with financial support we received but for the physical and mental support as well. Thank you.

To honor Bill’s final wishes, there will be no funeral services. He wanted to be cremated, his ashes spread on golf courses, ski slopes and fishing spots where he loved spending time. He wants a Celebration of his Life, of which we will have in the future when its safer to gather. If Bill touched your heart in anyway, jot it down, read it at his party. Bill will love hearing from you.
