As Evelyn was the oldest child and the oldest daughter in our family, after Mom died, she became like a second mother to me--someone I shared my worrries,Hopes,and troubles with.
For many years Vic and I and our children moved thousands of miles away from "Home"-. there were always letters and cards from Evelyn and .later when we settled back in Ontario, there were many phone calls and visits--also lots of visits to Vermont with all the sisters and their husbands, all planned by Evelyn.

We are so sorry for your loss. Evelyn was a very dear friend of ours and a mentor of mine for many years. She was an encourager and I would stop and see her during my lunch just to visit and pray with her. She was a mighty woman of God and I loved her dearly. She loved the devotionals my husband Tom wrote and often referred to them when encouraging someone.
We are sorry to hear of her passing, but she is definitely in a better place and we will see her again. Our prayers are with all of you during this time.
