Christopher B. Bartmess

Christopher B. Bartmess, 36, of Fairfield, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, December 31, 2017. 

Chris was born in Bridgeport on July 15, 1981 the son of Bradford and Joanne (Parisi) Bartmess. He was a 1999 graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School and a 2004 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in Sociology. Chris volunteered at various community organizations including the St. Vincent de Paul soup kitchen in Middletown . He was a New York Mets and Giants fan, enjoyed exercising and recently ran a 5K race. Chris was a movie buff and attended over 100 various music concerts. 

Besides his parents of Fairfield, he leaves his sister, Lynn Sadler and her husband Timothy of Bolton; maternal grandparents Joseph Parisi of Ft. Pierce, FL and Ann Vecsey and her husband Joe of Stratford; aunts Lisa Parisi of Stratford, Gladys Lazzara of Rochester Hills, MI; uncles Michael Parisi (Gretchen) and Stephen Parisi (Karen) all of Trumbull, Bruce Bartmess (Tina) of Prospect, and Benjamin Bartmess of Auburn Hills, MI; nephew and nieces Jackson, Adelynn and Emma Grace Sadler; and several cousins. He was also predeceased by his paternal grandparents Benjamin and Adele Bartmess.  

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT 06614.
