I was sorry to read of the passing of Martha. Martha was in my class at ST. Matthews school. Although our lives took a much different path with me going to Bristol Eastern High School and eventually moving to OH in 1996 I always remember Martha as being a very nice and caring person. My thoughts are with the family of Martha at this time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Martha at Prospect St. School when Lena was a student in my first grade classroom. Martha always had a smile and was a wonderful mother and parent. She would do anything for her family, grandchildren, and the school. I am so sorry about her loss. She always was positive and very courageous these past few years and willed be missed. May she rest In Peace and may many happy memories help Frank and her family during this very difficult time.

To all of Martha's family and loved ones,
I worked with Martha in the Plymouth school system, but my fondest memory is swimming beside her in the pool at the gym. I miss her dearly and my workouts will never be the same. Her smile, positive attitude, and words of kindness were infectious. The last time I saw Martha was a few weeks back. She and I were chatting after our workout in the water. She looked at me and said she knew things were not working any more. Somehow she had a sense of peace within her and she told me it was alright. She knew she had done absolutely everything she possibly could to fight the cancer. I knew I was soon to lose a great friend that day. How fortunate you all are to have had her as a member of your family. Treasure the memories.

Message from The Lavoie Families
June 26, 2017 4:21 PM

Dear Frank and families,

The Lavoie Families want to express our deepest condolences to you and your families over the irreplaceable loss of Martha , wife and mother. etc. This must be so painful for all of you. It is said that no one is irreplaceable, but this is not true when it comes to our beloved family members. They cannot be replaced. We want to assure you that there is also a collective sadness in the Lavoie families over the premature loss of Martha.

In noticing Martha's picture on the website, she truly expressed qualities of joy and kindness. Her countenance also mirrored a mild-manner and empathy that she must have displayed so many times with her family and friends. May we emulate these qualities and may she grace Heaven with them.

The last time I spoke with Martha, she revealed to me that she was following her Christian roots. She is to be commended for believing and following in Jesus Christ and the message of salvation He brings. Our Jewish & Christian Scriptures tell us, that we all fall short of the goal that God has set for us. But he has not left us orphans as he offers unbelievable love and forgiveness for all those who ask for it. May God's mercy be given to Martha for any human weakness's or failings that she may have had.

Be strong Frank. God and your family will strengthen you during this most difficult time in your life.

As part of Martha's extended day-care family, we want to extend our love and condolences to the entire family. Martha made a huge contribution to our family as Tyler and Kacey were growing up. She allowed Barry and I peace of mind knowing our kids were in the best hands possible and the friendships formed are still strong to this day. Her love and patience had no limits. We love you Martha and thank you for the impact you had on our family.
Our most sincere condolences to everyone.
With love and friendship,
Laurie, Barry, Tyler, and Kacey Wentland

Martha was a wonderful person whom I had the pleasure working with as a paraprofessional. She loved each and every student she worked with like they were her own. So many memories that I'm grateful for. I'll miss you, Martha. Sending deepest sympathies to her family.

Martha and I go back a long way. Back to a time when all our children were little. Martha was the daycare provider extraordinaire for my Megan from the time she was two months old until she went to kindergarten. It was always like leaving her with family. There was nothing Martha couldn't handle, I never had to worry. Later , Martha joined the Plymouth school system and became a beloved member of our school community, touching the lives of many over the years. My heart breaks for her children, grandchildren and Frank now that a beautiful light has left this world. Good bye, dear friend. I'll miss you.

Martha will surely be missed by so many! I had the pleasure of working with her when she was a paraprofessional. The students loved her and she had such a great sense of humor! Her children, grandchildren, and husband were always a part of our conversations and her devotion and love for them was so evident. Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved Martha!
